What is OSINT?

It's not espionage. It's methodological rigor applied to public information.

Open-source intelligence—known internationally as OSINT (Open Source Intelligence)—is the structured process of collecting, processing, analyzing, and transforming publicly available information into useful knowledge for decision-making.

This is not espionage, nor does it involve access to private or protected information. The entire process is conducted in strict compliance with the law, professional ethics, and the data protection regulations in force in Spain and the European Union.

The sources used include media outlets, public records, official databases, social media, specialized forums, academic and technical publications, and any other open-access sources. The unique value lies not in the source, but in the analytical capability: connecting disparate data to obtain a coherent and relevant picture.

Professional intelligence analysis is not intrusion. It is methodological rigor applied to information that already exists and that anyone could find. The difference lies in knowing what to look for, how to interpret it, and what to do with it.

Use Cases

Five real-life scenarios where intelligence makes all the difference.

Vetting a Business Partner Before Signing a Contract

A company receives a joint venture proposal from a foreign group. OSINT and due diligence analysis provide a comprehensive and verified picture in a matter of days, not weeks.

Monitoring Competition in a Regulated Sector

A company wants to closely monitor its competitors' strategic moves. The competitive intelligence service provides regular reports on the most relevant developments.

Detection of a disinformation campaign

An organization detects an unusual increase in negative mentions on social media. Digital monitoring analysis identifies the source, actors, and pattern of dissemination, enabling a proportionate response.

Risk Assessment Before Entering a New Market

An industrial company is considering launching operations in a country facing regulatory uncertainty. The geopolitical analysis report provides a structured overview of the key risks and variables.

Internal investigation into allegations of fraud

Compliance identifies irregularities in the selection of a supplier. Corporate OSINT analysis examines public links between stakeholders and provides objective information to the internal process.

Preparing for a Corporate Transaction

Prior to an acquisition, M&A teams need reputational information about the counterparty and its executives. OSINT due diligence complements financial and legal due diligence.
